Coordinator - California Safety
Coordinator Southern California Area.
Inland Cold Storage a leader in third party logistics cold
storage warehousing has a great opportunity for an entry level
Safety Technician / Safety Co-coordinator.
ICS is a fast growing Company with multiple facilities in the
Southern California area providing it's customers with state of
the art warehousing and logistics services.
The applicant will report to The Vice President of Safety &
Security and will be responsible for coordinating safety and
loss control programs, training, safety meetings, monthly
audits, inspections and accident investigations.
The applicant must be a great communicator and leader, have
prior safety related job experience and Cal OSHA knowledge, be
computer efficient in PowerPoint Excel and Word programs. We are
seeking a highly motivated professional with the desire to work
for a Company that offers a rewarding work environment, great

Job Duties:
The Safety Coordinator will be based in the Fontana facility and
may be required on occasion to travel to other facility
locations in Southern and Northern California. No relocation
assistance is available.
Responsibilities:
Keep abreast of and enforce all Cal OSHA, Cal EPA, NFPA, EPA and
other regulatory compliance issues concerning the operations of
our business.
Be flexible to work at any ICS facility on any day at anytime as
required by your supervisor.
Conduct New Hire Safety Orientations
Apply and enforce the code of safe practices with all employees.
Advise warehouse managers on safety issues policies and
procedures.
Hazardous waste management compliance.
Advise Loss Prevention Department or contracted security
personnel on emergency, fire prevention and safety issues.
Conduct warehouse safety compliance audits ensuring all
employees comply and follow all company policies and procedures.
Attend weekly manager meetings and employee shift start up
meetings exhibiting a safety presence and safety culture in the
warehouse.
Review all accident reports and near miss incident reports.
Conduct PSM audits on the ammonia refrigeration system.
Apply food safety (GMPs) Good Warehousing Practices.
Maintain industry knowledge through company sponsored training
and education seminars and classes.
Report to the Vice President of Safety & Security on all
matters concerning compliance, safety and risk management. Contact:
