Director of Health,
Safety and Environmental - Tennessee
Site Power Plant
Contractor in the Knoxville, TN area is seeking a Director of Health,
Safety & Environmental for work within the Tennessee Valley.
Salary Range – Dependent upon experience level. Client range
(E10A) is $90k - $104k
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Manage the Corporate Safety Program
Develop and implement Corporate Safety Manual
Maintain and Update Corporate Safety Manual
Maintain OSHA 300 log as required by OSHA
Conduct accident investigations
Maintain incident/accident records
Implement substance abuse program
Send out monthly safety reports to management
Prepare and conduct safety training programs (supervisory/foreman
training, new hire orientations, and management)
Ensure that site have qualified safety personnel
Conduct annual performance evaluations for safety personnel
Manage site safety programs
Conduct site safety observations and audit site safety programs
Provide technical support concerning safety issues
Assist Projects with Planning For and Identifying Hazards
Attend outage review meetings
Communicate with projects
Assist sites in creating safety awareness
Review and report results of safety observations to management
Work with WCC to reduce accidents
Interface with TVA concerning safety issues
Develop reports as required (Trending, etc.)
