Occupational Health and Safety Management
Excellent opportunity to
manage OHS for a major forest products company. Multiple manufacturing
sites from coast to coast
Responsibilities -
Implementing corporate policies and safety procedures (lock-out-tagout,
MSDS, work in closed spaces, etc.)
• Helping plant management in developing their annual action plans.
• Supporting supervisors in identifying and correcting accident and
professional illness risks as well as implement safe work methods.
• Establishing training needs and participate in the appropriate
programs.
• Giving advice to management and employees in the application of HR
management policies and practices
Qualifications -
College degree or pertinent work experience in a process manufacturing
environment
• Knowledge of Industrial Ergonomics, Workers Compensation, and OSHA
regulations.
• Experience in administering safety programs and human resources.
• Leadership demonstrated self motivation and excellent communication
skills.
• Work well in a fast paced environment and show initiative
Salary $65-75K with excellent benefit package
