Safety / Loss Control  Representative - Arizona

Casino Careers Online has a client seeking a candidate for a Safety/Loss Control Representative position, which is located in Chandler, AZ.

The position description is as follows:

-Reviews security reports and EMT first care forms to determine possible casino liability involving patron injury claims and settles claims on behalf of the enterprise as appropriate.
-Reviews all supervisory reports of injury forms to identify possible fraudulent employee Worker’s Compensation benefit claims.
-Responsible for safety committee meetings including facilitation, budgeting, reporting and scheduling.
-Maintains Material Safety Data Sheets and related binders and trains enterprise staff regarding their content and use.
-Conducts investigations on patron and employee injuries, submits a written report of findings to the risk management director and the fire systems/safety manger on all investigations.
-Works in conjunction with the fire systems/safety manger, fire/safety instructor, liability and Worker’s Compensation insurance carriers to coordinate in-house safety inspections of all facilities for the purpose of identification of current or potential patron or employee injury and health exposures.
-Coordinates employee shot clinics.
-Works in conjunction with the fire systems/safety manger and fire/safety instructor in determining the need for additional or special training based on frequency and severity of employee injuries by department.
-Develops, implements, and monitors time loss case management for Worker’s Compensation claims to reduce cost of lost time wages and medical expenses.
-Maintains information exchange system and supervisor training program to provide enterprise wide awareness of impact of Worker’s Compensation costs and provide cost analysis reports to each department.
-Responsible for ensuring that all persons driving on enterprise business are in compliance with enterprise policies and regulations, including driving record checks for moving violations and/or license suspensions.
-Initiates claims for all patron injuries and garage keeper claims with the liability insurance carrier, investigation of incident details, and initial contact with the patron(s) and assigned adjustor, while following up with reports, photos, and surveillance tapes as appropriate.
-Conducts employee safety training at the direction of the fire systems/safety manager, coordinates and participates in all safety committee and safety incentive programs.
-Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness.
-Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, OSHA Certification and Worker’s Compensation background and experience.
-Knowledge and ability to evaluate internal controls. Incumbent must possess customer service, communications, human relations, and decision making skills.
-Skills in written and oral communications as well as organizational skills sufficient to prepare and present oral and written presentations on various subjects.
-Skills in developing accident-prevention and loss-control systems.
-Ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government. Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures.
-Drives for enterprise business, which requires a clean driving record and adherence to enterprise policies and procedures.
 
Salary:  $40,957 - $51,197/yr
