Safety Specialist - Entry Level - Environmental Consulting

Our Lower Hudson Valley area Patterson, NY office seeks a
Health & Safety Specialist to join their team
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provides Corporate and Project Health and Safety support
to regional GES offices
Conducts Safety auditing and some incident investigations
at the Regional level
Conducts Safety presentations during the monthly office
Safety Meetings
Assists the Director develop, implement, and evaluate the
GES Health & Safety Programs to ensure compliance with
the OSHA General Industry and Construction Standards
Assists the Director develop and implement the GES Health
& Safety Training Program that includes Emergency
Response, 8-hour Hazardous Waste Worker, 8-hour
Supervisor, Hazard Communication / Hazard Material
Management, Ergonomics Awareness, Confined Space Entry,
and Fire Prevention / Emergency Evacuation and Contractor
Safety
Assists local Site Operations Managers oversee and manage
local Office Health & Safety Officers
Ensures that all GES offices within their respective
region adhere to all GES Health & Safety Standards
Periodically completes environmental field work and/or
sampling projects
Adheres to all GES Health & Safety Standards at all
times
Requirements:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Safety, Environmental
Health, or related science and 0-3+ years of safety
management, preferably in the environmental consulting
field
Associate Safety Professional or another related safety
certification is preferred
Must possess excellent communication, organizational,
facilitation, time management, and computer skills
Alcohol/Drug screening and a Background Check are required
