Manager
of Environmental, Safety and Sustainability Auditing -
Merrillville, IN, Columbus, OH, or Charleston, WV |
Responsible for
developing and leading a comprehensive environmental and safety
auditing program across NiSource. The position provides
Management with an independent appraisal of the compliance with
environmental and safety rules, regulations, policies and best
practices.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
• Develop and implement a risk-based EH&S audit
program
• Lead individual audits or oversee staff leading
audits
• Communicate audit results and recommendations to
local management
• Coordinate and make presentations at operations
management meetings
• Provide performance feedback and develop
opportunities to staff members
• Review and coordinate audit activities between ES&S
and operations
• Participate in on-site meetings and travel to
various company locations
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree in environmental science,
safety, business or other related field is required
• Seven or more years of management and/or audit
experience required
• Utility/Energy industry experience is desirable
• Experience in preparing and presenting reports
