Safety Advocate for Assisted Living (public) company based out
of Menomonee Falls, WI
Position Summary: Develops and implements an overall program to
help ensure a safe, efficient workplace resulting in reduced
worker’s compensation and related expenses. Oversees the
prevention, investigation and management of employee workplace
injuries, re-injuries and illnesses and supports the overall
health and safety for all employees at Assisted Living Concepts.
Communicates with management at all levels of the organization
to effectively ensure policy and procedures are followed as they
relate to the overall program of worker’s compensation,
including body mechanics training, return to work programs and
hiring assessments.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in risk management, industrial
safety and health, safety engineering, safety management or
closely related field. Master’s degree preferred.
HCRM, ARM or CSP credential required. Minimum of 10 years
in occupational health and safety within which a minimum of 4
years progressive leadership experience required. Experience
with multisite oversight required. Previous direct
responsibility for management/design of worker’s
compensation/loss control program for more than 2,000 employees
at a senior level required. Knowledge of HIPPA, OSHA, CDC and
applicable state and federal regulations. Ability to develop and
present educational workshops required. Strong communication
(both written and oral) & relationship building, project
management, process improvement, occupational health &
wellness program building, decision-making, change management,
and analytical skills required. Ability to analyze and
understand safety/health policies and principles, maintain
efficient risk management systems and procedures, analyze risks
and exposures, and establish and maintain effective working
relationships with employees, supervisors, claimants and the
general public. Valid Driver’s license and ability to travel
by commercial airlines required.
