Construction Company seeking Field Safety Specialist for
Pittsburgh Area
SAFETY SPECIALIST
Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) is committed to
promoting a safe and healthful environment for our
employees. The successful candidate will assist in
monitoring and coordinating the company behavioral safety
and health program and resources in the assigned area.
This would include conducting safety inspections, incident
investigation and analysis, safety training, safety
reporting, and internal communications with regards to
safety concerns.
• Responds 24/7/365 to emergency situations and
participates in incident investigations. Frequent
travel required.
• Advises personnel regarding safety protocols and
procedures to ensure regulatory compliance
• Conducts routine and follow-up safety and hazard
inspections of company job sites
• Makes recommendations for correcting unsafe conditions
and provides necessary safety training
• Ensure the safety, training and development of
employees and subcontractors to understand, identify
and reduce risks in a fast paced environment
• Hazwoper, CPR, First-Aid, Defensive Driving, Valid
Drivers License
• Must be OSHA certified to work in hazardous
operations.
• Experience in presenting OSHA eight (8) hour and 40
hour training courses.
• Continuously trained in Hazard Communication in
accordance with 1910.1200.
Educational
Requirements: B.S. degree in Safety, or an
equivalent discipline.
Experience Requirements:
- Four (4) years safety-related work experience.
- Three (3) years of related field operations experience.
- Two (2) years instructor experience plus basic knowledge
with OSHA regulations.
